Daily Pledges

How is this data produced?

This dataset is produced from transacional records of organ pledges kept by the National Transplant Resource Centre. Although Organ Donor Pledge registrations have been conducted since 1997, data prior to 2009 has been dropped due to data cleanliness issues preventing reliable digitisation. Accordingly, this dataset is a consolidation of:

  • Manually compiled transactional records manually collected from 2009 to 5 September 2022.
  • Transactional records collected via MySejahtera from 6 September 2022 onwards, after which the organ pledging process was fully digitalised.

What caveats I should bear in mind when using this data?

The digital organ donation pledge process allows an individual to pledge their organs, and subsequently withdraw their pledge if they so choose. Therefore, the data shown here is dynamic; the number of pledges for a specific date may reduce (but not increase) in future if pledges are withdrawn.
